But just to play devils advocate, maybe Jared consistently fed his rats the same vitamin supplemented food or incubated at the same temperature/humidity or some other external variable that makes good super stripes. It's probably genetic but those two very different genetic stripe clutches from the same parents got me thinking there could be other influences too.
