I have three kings that are fairly active: a Cali, a thayeri and a grey-banded. The thayeri and Cali both crawl right out of their tubs and onto my hands when I open them and seem to enjoy being held. The grey-band is starting to get that way, too.
As for pythons, my jungle carpet is very active and inquisitive.
