The second photo shows part of the underside of a black ratsnake. I have seen rats that have what looks like a checkered belly but it is much less organized than on corns AND with rats the underside is usually white under the head and neck with dark marks starting about a 5th of the way down the body and increasing in density toward the tail. Under the tail is usually almost black because the dark markings take up 100% of the space. | ||
