I like the write-up a lot too. I hate how some people say "picture is right off the camera, completely unedited" like it's always a good thing. I don't know how many pictures I have shot in subpar conditions that have portrayed the animal to be completely different than it actually looks. In the right hands, Photoshop is a great tool, but in the wrong hands it can be dangerous and misleading. I often hear the misleading pictures dubbed "photochopped." I think you did a good job demonstrating why it is such a valuable program and the good it can do.
On a side note, what are you using for your white and black backgrounds. I've tried using a sheet before, but that just doesn't work out well as I pick up too much texture of the fabric.
