Joel, there is obviously much more going on " with the Peruvians particularly " than just the black eyes.

I have had and kept many Peruvians over the years and seen more than I could count and have never seen anything like these Hypers, in Peruvians.

I have also had as many Black Peruvians and Melanogaster as anyone I know.

Of all the Black Peruvians and Melanogaster I have had and seen " not that there is a surplus of them, " I have never had one of even the Blackest pigmentation, with black eyes.

I do not feel that the Black Eyes on these Hypers are the " Key " if you will, but just an added bonus to the array of unique characteristics that they have in general.

After seeing them in person, it was enough for me to want to keep all of the Hypers and Het females.

I remember the first ones I seen Polaroid pictures of over 15yrs ago and did not see the trait pop up again, until Gus produced his several years ago and still did not realize how neat they were, until getting these.

I talked to my buddy Vin Russo the other day and I do not like quoting people these days, but Vin seemed to believe that it was definately a recessive trait as Albinism is.

There are a few running around out there now, but how many of them will actually make it to maturity and be bred in the future?

Probably not many.

Gus, should be the first one in the next couple of years to show what these will look like " going to the next level of possibly a Super Form " and it will be exciting to see for sure!

With an animal such as a Peruvian, it is a long project.

You will never raise these up and breed them in 24 months and so they should prove to be a good and long term investment.

However, it may take a while to build a real Market for them and why right now " they are worth whatever someone is willing to pay. "

Anyway, just my thoughts.

Thanks, Joel......JJ
