but definitely the first time I've had anything left behind in the wound! Usually I see it coming and wait it out, let the snake let go on their own, this time I pulled too! My mistake of course! I can usually tell when my snakes are in feeding mode, but she was completely relaxed and fooled me! LOL! Normally I mist them lightly to let them know I'm coming in, because they are waiting at the glass for me to open it!
I feel pretty lucky, for five and a half years of raising boas/pythons, only one bite that I can pull teeth out of is pretty dang good methinks! Got one in the lip my 2nd year and another face shot my 3rd, hate to admit that kind of stupidity honestly, but mostly I've only been bitten on the arm/hands and always my own fault. Never by a snake over 6ft... knock on wood!
