They're a favorite here, too! We're up to 16 in our house, though. They really are amazing animals. As they said, corn snake care, but a 30 or 40 gallon aquarium. I have some that are OK in the equivalent of a 30, but others that I wouldn't house in anything less than a 40.

These snakes are extremely hardy, and it's hard to do something wrong with them. The only thing to really watch out for is nose rubs- they're inclined to get them if kept in too small of cages.

Most of my adults are tamer than any of my corn snakes even, and my big female (a bit over 5 feet) is the snake I use to introduce snakes to little kids! I let my 4 year old little brother hold her without any fear at all.

Definitely a great snake to get into!
