Boa Personalities

I had a Ball Python for my dorm earlier this year but had to bring him back home to my silent empty room because he refused to eat (although I assume that he also was not eating before I got him and was just misinformed). I'm thinking of getting another dorm snake, what do you guys think about a boa constrictor? Are they less nervous in general than balls? I'd keep it here for the year as a baby and then we're getting a house off-campus next year where I'm building a rack system and getting more snakes. What do you guys think?
