Posted by: lavenderalbino at Tue Nov 4 09:08:15 2008 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by lavenderalbino ] it is amazing how some females will blow up to over 1800 grams by 18 months old, and others take 4 years to break 900 grams! we have a clutch of '07's females out of a particular normal female that are USDA purple ribbon angus growers! the real golden question is: does she have follicles yet an if so how many, and how big are they? suprisingly, not all of the '07 females over 1500 grams develope follicles, and many that do only have two or three good follicles. it is so nice to be able to tell instantly with ultrasound whether breeding a young borderline female will be worthwhile!!
