Brownsnakes are a pretty small breed. I don't think you could get it to eat a pinky even if it was bigger -- browns specialize in eating worms and slugs. You will probably have the best luck buying a container of earthworms at a bait shop or even at a gas station (if you live near water many gas stations carry worms). Wayne Harvey (username "dekaybrown" may be working on a care sheet for this species. He'll probably see this message and contact you, especially since I'm contacting him now to to let him know you could use his expertise on how to care for this little guy over the winter.
