I'd have to search out definite answers. If I remember the original Ihle Salmon came from a pet shop in Arizona. You might find this info on his website possibly. Jeff Gee may have acquired his directly from Dr. Hardy can't remember forsure.
I can't really answer as to what Boas you were looking at in the pet shops back in the day.I don't know how many Dr. Hardy sold to pet shops before it was realized something quite special was occurring. I don't think I'm allowed to put number prices in a post. I believe normals in the litters were going for half a buck "fifty",and Hypos in those litters went for a buck "one hundred".
I really have no idea what was in those shops in TX.What you described were not by me locally. I never went to any shops closer to Chicago.
