John,
I found that I had been keeping my nics warmer than needed...
I was also having trouble with a few of the farmed ones that came in, I was keeping them around 90 degrees on the warm side and about 80 degrees on the cool side...switched it to be 85 for high and 80 for cool...worked for me--I also think letting their night time temps cool helps them too.
