I use 24" X 96" X 11" Boaphiles. I have used standard 24" X 48" X 24" successfully was well. I just like the larger cages with a temperature gradient of 92F to 78F on opposite ends. It gives the gravid female more opportunity to find exactly the right temperature she's looking for. I've also noticed when the females are ovulating (or preparing to) they like to strech out and twist. And, during mating, the pair is often also stretched out and not coiled as they may be forced to do in smaller cages.

I'm not sure any of this is "better", or improves the chances of producing viable litters, but given the space, the snakes seem to make use of it, and I feel better about giving it to them.
