I was sort of speechless myself. I knew the foam would be strong enough but I have to say 85 pounds spanned across over two feet was a bit of a surprise.



I think the Dow product comes in two densities. I'm not sure what I have since I grabbed it from the scratch and dent pile. Regardless, I don't think it matters for your project. I will go through the rest of the pieces and see if I can find the mark saying what it is.



I think either of the pink foam insulations would work as well. I know for sure that comes in two densities.



I would probably avoid the white beaded styrofoam for your platform.
