Silly Question

Alright this seems like a stupid question, but I need to ask it....
How do you feel about bringing live (Christmas) trees into your home with your snakes?
My husband wants to get a tree this year, but I am so afraid to bring it (and whatever may be on it) into the house with our snakes and birds...

What do you think about it? Am I too over protective of my 'kids'?
