I went to Santa Cruz Sunday afternoon just to recharge my batteries and was astonished at the size of the waves at one of my favorite surfing spots, known as "Steamers Lane".

This was by far the biggest surf I have ever seen at Santa Cruz during calm waters.

The photos were taken with my hand held Olympus digital. I want to apologize for the quality of the photos, but the action was taking place about 300 to 400 yards off shore and the sun was just about to set. The locals were saying the biggest waves of the day were 20 to 25 feet tall.

To stay on track I thought I'd post a photo of my albino motley courting an 8 1/2 foot 30 pound normal female BCI. The female boa who I call big mama was purchased from Brett Thacker a little over a year ago.

To all a great season.

Brian
