As far as I know, some claims have been made but not proven out from breeding. I talked to Brian Barczyk and Vin Russo, both well known for breeding axanthics and supposedly having separate genetic lines, about this at the Daytona expo and neither could confirm nor deny this. At best, both Brian told me that both him and Vin were going to swap some of their axanthics amongst each other to try and prove if there does exist two separate genetic lines. As I have not heard from Brian since Daytona, I am unable to say whether this exchange actually took place or not. I will say that both of them expressed to me that they were doubtful this was the case, but again, that's only conjecture until it can be proven out. | ||
