Slight Odor, Cleaning glass tank?

I have a spare all glass tank. I notice a slight odor after removing the old aspen bedding that was located above the under the tank heater. It's clearly some dried up poop residue that I hadn't noticed before, but you don't see it on the glass.



I'm sure if I put in fresh aspen I won't smell it. But that's not the point.



My question is, what's the best way to clean out this odor?
