Quick question about flexwatt!!!

So I'm switching to flexwatt for some of my boas and I have a quick question. I just got 6 feet of 11" flexwatt. It says on the instructions to cut at the dashed "cut here" line. However, there is no line. Is it OK to cut it between any of the black lines? I would like to have 6 different 1 foot pieces when I'm done.
