A light day...

The female was REALLY showing a light phase today with regards to the level of pink in her body color. I decided to put her in with my holdback male to illustrate some differences.

Here's a decent pic of the male to use as a baseline:

A little tighter:


I find it interesting how VERY different the lateral "badges" are between the two. The female has several very blurred badge with no well defined center whereas the male has extremely well defined center badges with little to no blurring. In addition, the females saddles are showing less contrast with the body color than the male, who shows EXTREMELY distinct and bold saddles and facial markings. To me, the female has a very "pastel" look (I just cringed when I wrote that because of the overuse of the term "pastel".

They both have beautiful laddertails!
