I have a female Salmontine Boa that has the beadiest scalation I have ever seen in a Boa. Thought maybe a Renal condition originally. Now I don't think so. Renal function looks good. Snake behaves normally and is in good health. Very lean and muscular. Good growth. Great appetite. Well hydrated. Maintained at and prefers cooler temps. At 80 deg. F she'll take your arm off for a rat.
Is the tougher hide an inheritable condition/characteristic, or what? Could it have come from the Argentine side?
Does anyone have any knowledge or have similar experience?
