With all this Obama Economic and Financial Rescue Package money on it's way to hitting the infrastructure on Public Works across the land, has anyone thought about advocating for Texas Parks and Wildlife?
If I'm not mistaken, some of our earliest State Parks were built and funded by/with CCC money during the Great Depression.
I know The Parks and Wildlife guys are seriously strapped for cash. Works projects to make much needed infrastructure maintenance and improvements of our State Parks shouldn't be over looked.
Don't think Texas is real high on the radar for this money, since the state went Republican, is the home of George Bush, and not suffering so severely as other areas during this down turn.
That's why I think it's important to bring this issue to the forefront. We need to get our share.
I'm a believer in one good turn deserves another. Helping TP&W out might just help us out by freeing up some resources to allow a more flexible and comprehensive cooperation between us.
The name of the game is common ground. Lets see some of that bipartisan cooperation.
