An optimal injection of Baytril should be in good muscle tissue from my experience as well as my vets urging. I believe Baytril can cause a sore or necrosis if not injected properly (deep enough). I'd make sure you get a good deep muscle injection. In addition I always like to massage the injection site firmly with the cotton after injection.(The cotton soaked with alcohol used to sterilize injection site). I believe this helps work Antibiotic out of that muscle tissue to help it get started on its way. [ Hide Replies ]
