We use titanium heaters connected to a back up temp control/thermostat - works great and we don't have to worry about flimsy glass heaters breaking. I invested about $100 for these devices and it was well worth the initial investment.

>>I was wondering what is the best water heater to use with a young caiman. I am moving my little guy into a larger tank and will slowing be adding water but to start with it will be roughly 50-75 gallons. I need something tough and won't break any suggestions.
