I'm not saying this is the case, but when my male leopard geckos start to develop the waxy secretions (ready to breed) they start to walk weird by rubbing those pores on the ground.....essentially dragging their hind legs.

I'm guessing they do this so the waxy secretions leave pheromone trails for females and/or other male rivals.

Not all leopard geckos do this.....I only have two that I have seen do this, and it was in direct response to "wafting" a female as she walked by.
