i have a of coastals that are about a yr old and have not had a bite yet.

buy a baby handle it often learn to read your snake(ie tell what mode its in feeding defensive currious etc) and just be mindfull of it.

most of the carpets i've had over the yrs have been a bit of a problem getting out of the cage but once they are out they have no problems.

this is a result of the amazing feeding response these guys have you open cage they think food.

these coastels are the only sub 2 yr olds that i have owned that do not show this tendancy.

now watch i will go open the cages tonight and get nailed.

oh and you can keep evan fairly aggressive species with kids around my son is almost 5 and has been snakes most of his life.
