Most carpets are very very nippy as babies however most grow out of this stage some take longer than others.
As far as good breeders, well theres a few, A. Capontetto, Will Leary, Dave Prada, Jason Baylin and Im sure there are many more, Just look around.

As far as feeding goes, there pretty much garbage disposals very fast garbage disposals that just want more

I hope you enjoy your new carpet, I would suggest a Bredli or a Irian Jaya for a starter carpet, Stay smaller easier to manage as adults.
