Since you didn't specify species, I'll assume you mean mice. I personally haven't had a problem with Rats, however female mice in a harem can be brutal.



I found ensuring plenty of food, water and space helps minimize the casualties.



I also started removing males and keep female rats by themselves.



I no longer breed mice.
