Can anyone give me some input?

Just recently acquired a sub-adult boa from a neglected home, and he appears to be nearing his shed-cycle. His eyecaps became blue and milky for about two days, then as of the other day they cleared up and his scales are still iridescent. Is this common? I suppose I shall wait and see.
