RE: New Alligator

My suggestion would be to provide him/her with more hiding spots than you think are really necessary! Crocodilians, as mentioned, need time to acclimate to new surroundings and by providing ample places to hide, their feeling of security will increase and the alligator will feel more comfortable in the new enclosure. I would not force feed unless something is really wrong and the alligator is too sick to eat for itself.
