I'm using a 5 strip, a 10 strip, and a 10 compact fluorescent unit, all of which are 18" from where the rhino basks but she still constantly fights calcium-related tremors. All the bulbs were new in mid-January. I assumed the 10 bulbs simply emitted MORE UVB rays, but maybe the 10 renders different wavelengths than the 5. Also, 18" is probably too far from her but it's hard to get her any closer to the bulbs. What kind of bulbs do zoos use? Those things are way distant from the lizards basking under them. Does anyone know what kind of UVB bulb is best for rhino igs? | ||
