Hey everyone, I normally post in the beardie forums but I now have a rhino of my own (after years of reading up on them and saving up for one) and I was wondering if it was at all possible to get an estimate on his age. I know this isn't possible with beardies and I'm willing to bet it's the same with these guys as well but I figured it was worth a try.
He is currently in a 40 gallon breeder tank with a second level for him to climb on and lounge out in, with a full spectrum UVB (ZooMed Iguana Light Tube), Basking spot temperatures ranging 95-120 degrees (measured with an infrared temp gun), his diet consists of 100% vegetation and gets collard greens, mustard greens, turnip greens, endive, escarole, dandelion greens and flowers, various squashes but butter nut is his fav and for treats he gets blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, banana, bell peppers, and a bunch of other things and once in a while i will put some rep cal iguana pellets on his salad and it is dusted with calcium 6 days a week and multivitamin once a week...hes bathed every day and is almost in a constant shed. Substrate is newspaper and eventually tile as I. fear impaction if I use particle substrates.
Here's some pictures of him (I say him because I have seen him do typical dominance displays although I know females are also capable of this too)
