I did see those westerns (a shame about that project).
There have been quite a few leucistic easterns, though. Two were caught a year or two ago. One about an hour from me (Louisiana), and another in Florida. They both had faint black speckling on their upper portions of their bodies.
Then a couple of years before that, there was a solid white male caught and then sold on the classifieds. The asking price was $5,000, but I contacted them right as it had been sold.
I also heard a story that a kid in Florida had brought a gravid one into a petshop. He found it in his yard or something from what I was told. And according to the story it ended up hatching a few visual leucistics aswell.
Not sure about the last one, but I was in contact with the owners of the other three (and purchaser of the one sold). I talked to them for quite some time, and they periodically posted updated here and on fauna. Eventually they just quit updating and I haven't gotten replied in over a year.
