Questing on introducing for breeding?

Just curious about how to introduce snakes for breeding. Assuming that they are mature, ready, ect do you just dump the male into the female's cage? With them being cannibalistic, how do you make sure that they are more into breeding and not into trying to eat each other? What do you do if one grabs the other and starts constricting it? My male kingsnake is currently brumating and my females isn't b/c she is still eating like a pig.
