Hello,
My name is Brendan Magee. I have been raising reptile all my life. It is my belief that if this bill HR669 is aloud to pass to any degree, it will made criminals out
of a lot of Americans for no reason.
I started our small boa breeding business in 1998 and have paid taxes on this income every year since. This is not just a source of income for my family it is a passion I share with my ten year old son as well.
When breeding each year we keep some of the best back for future breeding stock and sell the rest. This money
although not much in many eyes is use to pay our bills and to buy food for our small but very loved and needed collection of boas.
More people and native wild life are harmed or killed each year in the US by cats and dogs (both feral and pets alike) than all exotics combined. These animals
(cats/dogs) can live in any state and do not hibernate so they must kill year round to survive. Not one boa or python species that I know of can live through the winter north
of Florida.
It is also my belief that as hard working Represenitives of this Great Country/Government of ours that you have many bigger fish to fry.
PLEASE keep in mind how many people you would be putting out of work and or business by sponsoring this bill and allowing it to pass.
