Something to consider ,
A huge and technically illegal land deal was recently brokered involving one of the nations most ecologically destructive company's US Sugar and the state of Florida in the name of environmental restoration. The state over paid by hundreds of millions of dollars after being advised by independent appraisers it was bad deal. In the end tax payers will get killed. US sugar completely ripped the state off. Wth Florida leading the nation if foreclosures ,unemployment schools in the toilet ........Why was this deal made? Payback and future aspirations on the part of various politicians and their constituents. The kicker this deal is supposed to be the corner stone of the everglades restoration program but it will in fact siphon off funds from key restoration programs and delay these restoration programs 6 to 10 years and maybe forever. There's also a nice lease back option and a few other " favorable " perks for the guys that supported this deal. I don't think Bill Nelson the Governor or any of the numerous party's that stand to benefit from this deal will be interested in anything anyone has to say about pet ownership, science or being fair .
Right now their scrambling to cover up this scam anyway possible. A great way to show their serious about everglades restoration is by killing off the monster snakes and making sure this never happens again anywhere. It's all about appearances right now. They made this land deal all in the name of saving the everglades and the unicorns and mermaids to.
According to the pre election survey the Humane society gives all potential candidates . Obama scored 100 for supporting their views. He was endorsed by them. I have a feeling that any legislation that reaches his desk earmarked by them will get his approval. I'm going to go grab a slice of apple pie and salute the flag , maybe listen to a Pete Seeger record.
