Ok im a little confused again....

Ok so i bought this supposed male snow... Now I believe i saw his hemi's so when he wasnt really responding to my female who was twitching and what not.. i threw in another male to hopefully get the snow all riled up but the sunglow went straight for the snow and not the cream who he mated with last year... so im just wondering has males ever tried to mate with other males??
