Last June I got a pair of baby Hogg Island boas. From the start the female would take F/T off tongs like clockwork and never missed a meal. The male just prefers live. He simply will not strike off tongs-not F/T, P/K. or live. Once in a while he will eat a warm F/T left in his cage over night but very inconsistant. He is very tame and not shy. Upon placing a proper sized live mouse in his cage he will dart out and eat it right infront of me. The temps/humidity are correct with a proper gradient with hides on both the cool and warm sides of the cage. I have tried everything I know: "braininjg", sneaking the F/T over the enterance to his hide, all sorts of motion. Never saw a boa that would not strike a warm F/T when bumped on its nose but he just turns away. Even tried scenting the F/T with a live mouse or following up a F/T after he ate live-no go. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks-Bill
