2.5 weeks is nothing. i have a garter snake i caught in Colorado in 2003 that at least once/year goes 3 months without a meal. No, I do not brumate either! In fact, he just completed his 3 month fast by stealing a large mouse from my big yellow rat he lives with. Now he looks like he swallowed a baby hippo. More than once I figured he was simply at the end of his road, only to get voracious again.
