come to think of it, you may technically need to be certified by fedex before you or your friend can ship. It gets a little complicated and lots of people ship without certification and I'm unaware of anybody who has ever had a problem with it. Since you will be waiting for warmer weather and have some time to spare, you may want to repost this question on the kingsnake shipping forum:
