I believe you posted on the Morelia forum. I know of one American Morelia breeder who uses bioactive substrate but for whatever reason does not discuss it publicly. He has gone years without completely breaking down his cages. I won't speak for him beyond that, however.

If you're interested I would at least start with De Vosjoli's book "The Art of Keeping Snakes". Maybe buy a cheap Crested Gecko or a smaller arboreal snake and give it a try.
