There is absolutely nothing wrong with that temperature range. That is a great range to provide Preferred Optimum Temperature Zones.



I would just worry about cooler air drafting through the ventilation areas. While most respiratory concerns really arent directly temperature related, Mycotic Pneumonia is a concern with fungi growing at low temps (well below 70F)...I would keep in the back of my mind that this is the temperature of air taking and keeping directly in its lungs. Granted it is for brief periods of time, and the body temperature of the snake would likely warm it quickly, and those temps provide proper thermoregulation the animal needs for a healthy immune system...I would still keep the concern in mind.



How difficult would it be to raise temps in that room at least for a large portion of the day?
