Hopefully Bruce D. will chime in. He very eloquently said that himself and a couple others are adapting a name change to make things hopefully less confusing and met no disrespect to others. I was merely referring to the animals how he did.
The confusing part for me with the old way was crystal was fine for the cross....but super crystal didn't seem to fit for special x special...I kept calling it super special at first 
That and a crystal is a mojave x special but a lesser crystal was a lesser crystal.....I liked what is being done with the BELs, lesser lucy, super mojave, lesser/mojave lucy, butter lucy, etc.

While I'll agree that "special" might not have been the best name I find the changing of "crystal" from being the combo to the single gene very confusing. I'm just trying to understand if this change is a done deal or if some are going to stick with the original usage of crystal.
