This was offered to the Senator as an alternative to the Ban that the Animal Protection Institue was pushing. Their Bill was thrown out and our alternative was put in. The writing was on the wall. NC is going to pass a bill. The only question is whether it will be one we propose or the one the AR folk propose. AR got tossed out and we replaced them. They will be back... but w/o some major catalizing incident the NC Legislature won't entertain them. Our bill allows people to continue to do what we do and gives the legislature what they want... which is regulation. The bottom line is we have a proposal for regulation w/o being overly restrictive. Business can continue on. The alternative is a blanket BAN and another victory for AR. | ||
