Well, 1st of all whoever sells tigers as het recessive or co-dom is either working with there own distinct line or there mistaken.
Years ago I coined the term Tiger Hog to describe a specific pattern that appear here and there in certain lines as well as to decribe animals I was producing. The pattern is characterized by bands that start at or close to the belly and go all the way to the top dorsally but do not crossover the back as in true banded animals. As stated on my website from almost day one I have no ideal what it is. In one line I would get almost 50% then in others less or more..the degree of pattern is variable as well. I believe that through time and proper breeding it could be refined into something more predictable. But currently it's just a very cool looking snake. I have never sold or offered hets for this trait nor have seen anyone do so.I would hope this stays the case until the gene is refined.
