Thanks for your post, and sorry about your animals, but I appreciate your dedication to the hobby. Your ratsnake article in Reptiles years back was really influential when I was just starting out and I have enjoyed your articles since. I use cypress mulch, and have had no problems with it. I do watch my snakes at feeding to make sure that no large pieces get stuck to bloody food, and do feed my babies outside of their enclosures. My snakes seem to enjoy digging in it and its cheap, and with the amount of feces my Bullsnakes produce, I need something easier to clean than newspaper, and I like the look of it. ----- 1.1 Newton County, IN Bulls
