After the soak, all of the skin came off within minutes. However, a piece stayed on his nose. I watched him trying to scratch it off on the screen top of his cage. we had him out for just a few minutes the other night and he was gaping a bit and when he'd open his mouth he made a slight "popping" sound. so at this point, I'm not sure if this is a R.I. or just stuck shed in the nose. There is no wheezing and no discharge, which I've heard can crop up later. The humidity in my tank is always an issue due to the screen top, however I put a shed box in his tank(plastic tub with dampened coco bedding). I haven't seen him use it yet though. Should I bump the heat up in his tank just in case? right now hot side is mid 80's with a basking spot of 90-92.Is there anything else that I should do or watch for?thanks for all the help! | ||
