Yeah, I've had to deal with this. :P If the skin is just a day old, it'll come off really easily with a 10-15 minute soak. Just rub it off with a Q-tip while they're still standing in the warm water. Definitely get it off ASAP, because the skin will get more stuck on the toe the longer you let it stay there.
