In my experience, it depends on the snake. It's never a good idea for snakes that spend their time in burrows like ball pythons, but for Burms it depends on the individual snake. If it feeds on live rodents you may have to feed it in a smaller box because it would have trouble tracking down and catching a live rodent in a cage that size.
