Yes. That is no different electrically speaking than each piece having its own cord and all being plugged into an outlet strip.



For adjustment purposes, you may want to wire up the bottom three together as you described, and do the top four. This way, you can taylor one section different from the other (if housing species with different temp needs) or to take into account differences in the heat capacity of levels (i.e. top drawer may be warmer than bottom drawer.)
